Picasso 3000
This is a caricature of Spanish painter and co-founder of Cubism, Pablo Picasso. I did this for a caricature challenge over on the Facebook group, Caricaturama Showdown 3000.
I painted the bulk of this with the default round brushes in Photoshop then I used a few of my custom Photoshop brushes for texture. I love painting and drawing older people, exploring all the lines and crevices. It's a lot of fun.

Am I the only one that has a problem with his lack of a mouth?? It's almost alien-like. Other than that it's just amazing like ALL of your art Chris.

Anders- I can't take credit for the composition. It's based on a famous photo of Picasso.
Les- The mouth is there, it's just under his collar. I was just accentuating the space between his nose and lips.

Georges Braque made a big mistake in 1906 : he opened the door of his workshop to Picasso...
MaTT- Yes, it was done entirely in Photoshop, but the brushes I use are scanned natural medium (pencil, ink etc)so they help give my digital art that 'hand drawn' feel. (Also having the added control of the Cintiq helps as well)
Jean Marc- Thanks for pointing that out (I'm a bit rusty on my art history). Well, Picasso's famous quote is- "Bad artists copy, good artists steal" In this case he stole a whole art movement.
If it's alright with you I'll rewrite my blog entry so it's more accurate. Anyone reading this will know you set me straight. Thanks!
